About This Event
Presented by Susan R. Sesack, PhD, Professor of Neuroscience and Psychiatry, Research Integrity Officer
Pitt’s new Research Misconduct Policy took effect on January 1, 2026. Much of the new policy is dictated by the federal Office of Research Integrity and governs how institutions address and adjudicate allegations of research misconduct. Policy changes of interest to researchers will be covered as will the definition of research misconduct and what factors most contribute to its occurrence. The presentation will end by discussing tools for detecting and preventing publication concerns that can lead to misconduct allegations.
